On October 28th, 1886, the Statue of Liberty was dedicated. Below are some awesome facts about our statue and when you are done with reading those and want more facts, head on over to the library catalog and search up "Statue of Liberty" or "USA". "USA" will get you books on all aspects of the States whereas the more specific search term will just bring back my books on the actual statue.

Last week the winners of the year long reading challenge were announced! Remember how we talked in the fall semester about how the kids in the state of Missouri are the people who vote for the winners, so this is all due to people your age! It's always good to mix up your reading and this is a great way to expand your reading. This book is amazing if you love food (who doesn't?) , friendship stories, family stories, and stories that teach you about other cultures' traditions/lifestyles.
